BASE College and Career Planning Guidebook

College Access Programming at BASE:

In addition this guidebook, we will be offering our students and families a variety of support services to help them learn more about their college, career and postsecondary options, build their academic readiness through rigorous courses and free SAT prep, allow them to visit and experience life on a college campus, and interface with college admissions reps. We will be accomplishing this all with ambition goals set by our College Access Team and the support of the staff and teachers in our school community. Here is a small snapshot of what our programming will entail:

  • College Knowledge Curriculum in 11th and 12th Grade Seminar
  • SAT Prep
  • All juniors to sit for at least two administrations of the official SAT
  • Hosting an on-site College Fair
  • Hosting College Information Sessions during weekly Lunch and Learns
  • Financial Aid Planning for Families
  • Counselor/ Student Meetings with extensive College Application Support during Senior Year
  • Monthly parent meetings throughout 11th and 12th Grade
