BASE's First Day of Service & Family Fall Festival in collaboration with BuildOn, The Bronx is Blooming & iMentor! Give back to your community while enjoying the day! We enjoy celebrating our students. Past events inside and outside the school are meant to highlight our students' accomplishments, their attendance and dedication to attempting to master learning targets and concepts taught inside their classes as well as outside those classes and outside the school building, unite us as a school with their families and our extended NYC community and to grow towards a better future.
The First Marking Period for the Fall Semester Ends

iMentor 12th Grade Event on Wed.,
Oct. 16th
12th Grade students meet with their mentors at BASE for their October iMentor event on Oct. 16th from 5 pm to 7:30 pm.
BASE Open House on Wed., Oct. 16th
BASE welcomes 7th, 8th and future 9th & 10th graders to our school to learn more about the school, meet some of its teachers and take a tour of the building. The Open House date at BASE is on Wed., Oct 16th and ais from 5 - 6:30 pm. Please RSVP for the events here.

"Pause Day" @ BASE on Thursday,
Oct. 9th
Every marking period (there are three marking periods each semester), a week or two before the end, we have a Pause Day to help our students reflect & revise on student work. Our first Pause Day for the 2024-2025 school year is Thursday, Oct. 10th. Click here to learn more about our Pause Days.
Open Enrollment for All Lunch & Afterschool Clubs from Oct. 7th to Oct. 18th
From Mon., Oct. 7th to Fri., Oct. 18th, all clubs are in their “open enrollment” time. This is when any student can attend any club. Visit the clubs you are interested and then sign up & join the ones you want to commit to. They do have capacity limits. Click here for more info.

Some pre-registered students on Thursday, October 3rd are taking on the opportunity to attend the Bronx Tech Job Fair at Fordham University from 10 am - 1 pm. They will meet at BASE @ 9:15 am.
9th Grade Library Trip to the Bronx Library Centeron Wed. Oct. 2nd
Our 9th graders take a tour of the Bronx Library Center and all the wonderful resources that it has to offer on Wednesday, October 2nd!
Staff & Families Meet for Curriculum Night! Thursday., Sept. 26th
BASE Staff, Teachers & Families get to meet grade teams and go over curriculum and important information regarding their child's school year. Event took place on Thurs. Sept. 26th from 5:15 - 8:00 pm.

1st Day of School on Thursday, Sept. 5th
Let's Get Ready for the 2024-2025 School Year!!! On Thursday, September 5th, all students are expected to report to BASE. Doors open at 8 am. First period begins at 8:25!
Student Programs Available by Fri., 8/31. Use NYCSA Account!
Families can check BASE student programs on the NYCSA account by Friday, Aug. 31st. (If you need access to your account, please email support@bronxsoftware.org and provide your child's OSIS/ID number). Programs will also be distributed on the first day of school.
August Regents Exams
August 2024 Regents Exams take place on Mon., August 19th & Tues., August 20th @ BASE. Exams start promptly at 9:15. Admittance to the exam is strictly prohibited according to NYS rules & procedures after 1 hour from the start of a regents exam.

Summer Bridge August 2024
Summer Bridge is open once again for August 2024. A long standing tradition since the opening of the school in 2013. It is meant to engage incoming freshmen with their peers and their teachers in activities that center around the school's core values.

Attendance Incentive Trip to Dorney Park
Students who turned in their permission forms are invited to attend the trip to Dorney Park on Wednesday, June 26th.
School Arrival Time: 8 am
Charter Bus Departs: 9 am
Charter Bus Returns: 4:30 pm
BASE Open House on Wed. June 12th
BASE welcomes 7th, 8th and future 9th graders to our school to learn more about the school, meet some of its teachers and take a tour of the building. Open House is from 5-7 pm. If you missed the event, here are the slides from the event.
